* Gluten-free and vegan, are what we are most asked about outside our Organic, Fair-Trade, Local, Cruelty-Free and Eco-Friendly purpose. They are not, of themselves, our business. However, we try to help.
On our food shelves the products have shelf labels. On these we indicate GF where a claim is made on the pack that an item is gluten-free and that we agree with that claim – we don’t always. Or, we put just g where there are simply no gluten ingredients but no gluten-free claim is made or, at least, not one we are happy with: for example if the label also says something like “may contain…’ or ‘made in a factory that also handles…’
We indicate VE and v in the same way and for the ‘same’ reasons for vegan foods.
