Update July 2022
When trying to reuse bits of this defunct webthing, which we found rusting, abandoned and forlorn in that ol’ virtual skip (following an attempted update that went horribly wrong) I have left lots of the original words pretty much intact. It’s all as relevant now as it was then and, of course, it saves both time and (importantly) me having to think.
We must have ‘lost’ the site in 2018/9-or-so and it hadn’t had much new added since maybe 2015 and most of it was untouched since it was first done – whenever that was. That, for me, is the beauty of a static site. It is all about information, which ought to be timeless.
So be aware, on-line we may be but this is not a web-shop, e-commerce or a place to buy. It is merely a window into The Green Shop in Berwick upon Tweed. Fiercely independent, extraordinarily focussed and, we’d like to think, probably the greenest retail anywhere…
…Um, “Hi!”.
Social media
Now I, personally, abhor social media in all it’s forms but as a business, well, here we are with a WordPress thing and we also have a place on Facebook. I know, I know, but what can you do?
Anyway, we mostly limit it to a one-way feed. Basic information here and sort-of daily things there both going from us to you.
For our Facebook updates, and my thanks here to Lucy our main poster for letting me return to the cozy security of unsociable non-media, the following link will possibly take you there…

By-the-way, and I am probably showing my complete ignorance of how the web works along with my inbuilt paranoia here, but if you ever see an advert anywhere near this or our Facebook, trust me it’s nothing to do with us, we didn’t know it was there and, please, buy nothing from them – they don’t deserve your money, let alone attention.
God, it’s good to be modern.
